And So It Came to Pass

Transfers happened last Thursday we have lost Elder Fulmer and the Elder who has he placed him is Elder Sadler.  Since transfers we have been getting a little congested, and Elder Judds morning voice makes him sound like James Earl Jones on a bad day, so I think the Elder Sadler may have brought Las Plagas. (I would not be surprised if my resident malign joke went over some heads.)

This week we met a survivor of cancer. This guy has had 8 different surgeries 8n the past year, 3 of witch were botched surgeries.  He knows lots about good properties of the church. He just has them confused with lots of religion conspiracy.  So after talking to him for an hour and a half about the government and about reincarnation, we gave him a Book of Mormon and challenged him to read and pray about it.  He said he would give a try. Fingers crossed for reading with real intent.

We have lots of people we are trying to get to church, and most of them are not able to make it at the last second, because of emergencies in their families. The adversary is working hard on those trying to go to church. One family's mother was admitted to the hospital, because her blood pressure went crazy. Another family's father had a heart attack. Another family's son, whom of which has bipolar symptoms, was also was admitted to the hospital, because his mental condition got worse.  And of course one of the people we are teaching whom of which works at the hospital, could not make it, because the hospital is so full.  We will try harder this week to get them to make it to church

This sisters just played an April fools joke on us. We left our car unlocked and went into the apartment real quick to get some food for our hike today. While we were inside, the sisters took my companions phone and another one of the Elders' phones. They they made it look like somebody ran off quick and left a trail of disturbed dirt.  Once we came out, we thought they were either taken and hid by one of the Elders or they were stolen.  So we were panicking and decided to call the sisters to see if they saw what happened. They didn't answer, so we went over to their apartment. Once the sisters opened the door, they couldn't keep a straight face. They were busted.  What a great way to start April fools. Now we have to think of some funny way to get back at them.

Welp, I have to go now. We are going in a hike soon, so I gotta share a nice thought about Tithing.

Tithing is not at all about the Lord needing our money. H is the Lord. He doesn't need cash, but he does need our obedience, or more simply put, " We give what we value to the Lord, whom of which we should value more."
