Things are Starting to Look Up

For service, we clean the church.
I got to wash windows again
Not much has happened. We haven't been able to do much except have lessons with members.

One of the guys we teach has a complex schedule.

His sleep schedule is what messes it up the most. He can only sleep for 2 hours at a time. To add to the madness his mother is in the hospital. So he does not want to turn off his phone at any time. So when we call him and interrupt his sleep he is not happy. This went on for a while until he called us and said that we should just contact him when we see him outside of his garage when it's sunny outside.
But we can't really go and visit him because of the Quarantine ðŸ˜”.
What quarantine will do to you

We can't really do much in this environment, and the fact that this happened really grinds my gears. We are going to have to put him off for the time being, at least until this quarantine lifts.

Other than that, not much to report on for this week. Sorry.

When You Gotta Keep Casual Friday at Bay

The book worm at work
Hello all, this is just your new favorite District Leader Elder Willis.
Todays agenda: INSIDE!

We are doing as much as we can as missionaries, and most of it is spent inside.

Every  once in a while we decide to do our work over at the church or even find a bench on a local trail and do some texting.... and that's about all we do right now.
It's beginning to look a lot like quarantine

In Dalton Gardens and Lake City Ward's we have a lot of potential. We have a lot to work with and we hope that we might be able to speed up the work in this area, but right now the best way to find is through Facebook.

A lot of people are used to meeting people in person, or even knocking on doors for hours on end, but now like the Apostles of old, the Lord has told us to cast our nets on the other side. We have been promised great success in our perspective areas, if we do all that we can with the tools the Lord has given us.

Today's hike was pretty.
It was at English Point if you're wondering

As many people may have seen already, most missionaries are starting Facebook pages. These pages are our only opportunities to find now, so missionaries are putting all their efforts into Facebook.

We are the Pioneers of these pages, they are here to stay and help all future missionaries in their finding efforts.

If you see an invite from somebody to like their missionary page go ahead and like it, share a video and leave a comment. This is an opportunity for all people to participate in the work, I know that we can do this, and as the scriptures say baptize nations if we move further in this great cause.

We were hiking and saw a dinosaur in a tree -
if that makes sense

I love you all and hope that you are able to stay healthy and safe during these trying times.

Back to Good ol' Idaho

I took some nice clothes up for good pictures.

Man I love Idaho.

Everything is nicer, everything is cheaper😒and we have an amazing area.

Everything is beautiful here in Hayden Lake. We are surrounded by small hills (by Utah standards), a nice lake, and lots of people.

We don't have as much to do here during the week though. But when it's P-day... WE GO HIKING!!!

More nice pictures with me (for mom)

My companion loves hiking, he is showing me all the cool sights and places to go for P-day and WOW! This place has a lot of money-
5 story lake houses, homes that have a mile long drive way because they are in a remote part of the mountains and the world's smallest beach (for the lake).

I'm sorry that this is a small email. We just finished hiking Camfield Hill. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to go up then 25 minutes down (we ran).

I will show you a few of the cool pictures we took, but before that I must tell you. Our area has a Facebook page. We use this page to post uplifting messages, scriptures and videos.

A surprise meal at service

The name of it is: Disciples of Jesus Christ in Hayden Idaho (I think).

If anyone who actually reads this far has a Facebook, like our page and share any posts you like. We are using this as our main source of finding, besides the members. If someone likes or shares any of our posts we will message them and ask if they would to talk with us and discuss what they can do to come closer to Christ.
Nice view ain't it.
It's Hayden and Coeur d'Alene Lake

We took all the steep roads. Wasn't easy.

Some incredible pictures  of the area:

On The Road Again

Doing a little exploring around Lincoln Park
We live in a unique time.
This time in particular is transfers.
Because of Covid-19 not many people are moving around that much to avoid any people getting infected.

I however am a special case.
I am moving to Hayden Lake, Idaho. I have also been called as a District Leader, so now I have a chance to exercise some "unrighteousness dominion".😆

Things in our current area are going great. It's a shame that I'm going away right when we get an amazing amount of lessons that were a success. For the record last week, we had a lesson scheduled every 30 minutes!
We did not oven have enough time for our extra studies they allow us, because we are inside all day. Overall, we had 37 lessons that actually happened. A lot of the people we were supposed to meet with didn't answer the phone or just forgot, for those times we squeezed in the planning and studies we were supposed to do.
An example of how we teach through video chat.
One guy draws, another explains and the last is the camera guy

Most of what consists of our "finding time" (when we get the chance) is us calling random people we have never met. Our ward clerk gave us a list of all the members in our ward, including the members who may not go to church or even names that people in this ward have never even seen before.  When we dial up these numbers,  we start by asking if we could just share a spiritual and uplifting message with them right then. If right then doesn't work out for them we schedule the next best time that works for them. By doing this we have had some amazing contacts, you might as well brand them as miracles.
The world wide fast on Friday,
tell your friends and share this picture with them

Anyways, as most everyone here already knows, we had General Conference yesterday!!!

We were so hyped for the unforgettable spirit we were promised by the prophet last fall. I am glad he told us it would be unforgettable, not only because of the effects of Covid-19, but it is more because of the messages they all meticulously set up for us. I don't know about you all, but the last set of talks from the last session were my favorite. They were all simple messages of hope and love, which would be perfect for sharing with people we teach. I invite you all, if you actually read this. Find an opportunity to share any of those talks with those who could use a little more hope in life, when you do tell them your favorite part and why you thought they might like it.
Watching General Conference in the comfort of the High Council Room -
the sisters were totally jealous

I have to pack and make sure I round everything up for the day I go to Hayden Lake. I'm excited to be in Idaho again! Maybe I can stay there for the rest of my mission!

I love you all, I am glad to have the chance to be on a mission at this exciting time, who except those in my generation can say they served while a virus was running rampant among the nations? And I mean all nations!
We had spare time and wanted to make our zone a treat.
They were too much.
They were like type 5 Diabetes per square inch

Don't forget to join the world wide fast for the effects of Covid-19 to be reduced and people to be protected. (I will post a picture that will explain it more)

Pictures: gotta love em, because they will end someday.
My companion hit his 6 month mark, so he burned a tie
